CEO,Apple Business Circle

As Apple’s CEO, Tim has led the introduction of innovative new products and services including the all new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, AirPods, Apple Watch, iPad Pro, Apple Pay and MacBook Pro with the revolutionary new Touch Bar.

He is leading a companywide effort to use entirely renewable energy, and Apple is now powering all of its facilities in China with 100 percent clean energy. Apple is committed to helping its suppliers in China, and around the world, make the same clean energy transition, and is working with its manufacturing partners to install 2 gigawatts of new clean energy in China by 2020. Through a new partnership with WWF, the company is protecting up to one million acres of China’s responsibly managed working forests.

Under Tim’s leadership, Apple is responsible for creating and supporting millions of jobs in China. Over 1.7 million of those jobs are attributable to the community of app creators, software engineers and entrepreneurs building apps for iOS, as well as non-IT jobs supported directly and indirectly through the app economy.

Tim was ranked #1 on Fortune magazine’s 2015 list of the World’s Greatest Leaders, and in 2014 he was named Person of the Year by the Financial Times. Apple has also been Fortune's most admired company for the past 10 years, including each year Tim has been CEO.

Before being named CEO in August 2011, Tim was Apple’s chief operating officer and was responsible for the company’s worldwide sales and operations. He was a Fuqua Scholar at Duke, where he earned an MBA, and holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Auburn University.
