Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP)

The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) was founded in 1989 as a government-funded economic research think-tank. It is a leading think-tank concerning the international economy and its relationship with Korea. KIEP advises the government on all major international economic policy issues and serves as a warehouse of information. The main research areas of KIEP include international macroeconomics, finance, trade, investment, cooperation and regional studies. KIEP possesses highly knowledgeable economic research staff. KIEP also maintains a wide network, locally and internationally, of scholars, professionals and business people who contribute their expertise to projects with KIEP. As a regional hub for international economic policy research, KIEP contributes to expanding knowledge on international economic issues and support decisions on how to act more effectively during uncertain periods. It aims to broaden network while enhance cooperation with existing partners.
